Today is my last chemo treatment. This morning the girl came in my room with tears in her eyes. When I asked her what was wrong, she said, “I don’t want you to grow your hair back. It’ll look weird.” It doesn’t seem that long ago that she was crying because she was afraid of how I would look bald. Can’t please this kid for anything. At least when it grows back, it’ll be a more gradual change than shaving it all off was. In any case, she’ll get over it.
I just had my LP with Methotrexate, so I’m spending lots of time on my back today, once again trying to avoid that spinal headache. Last time it worked. It may seem a bit boring but I’ll be accompanied by my bestie, Sia, so we will be laughing our asses off. Plus, Hubs is bringing the Girl by after camp.
I’ll post pictures, and maybe some deep thoughts on this whole process, later. For now, I’m just going to chill.
